Rep. Chris Van Hollen DCCC Chairman: Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD)
Representative Van Hollen represents Maryland's 8th district after winning election in 2002. Before joining the House of Representatives, the Congressman served four years in Maryland's House of Delegates and eight years in the State Senate. Senator Gronstal was elected Iowa Senate Majority Leader by his fellow Democratic Senators after spearheading their efforts to capture 30 seats in the Iowa Senate in 2006. He has been in the Senate since 1985 and was a member of the House from 1983-85. He represents District 50 in the Iowa Senate, which includes Council Bluffs and Carter Lake.
