Where They Stand on Children's Health

Expanding the children's health bill, which Republicans in Congress just blocked once again, has tremendous support from the American people. But where do the Republican presidential candidates stand on making sure more children have health care?
John McCain - Voted against reauthorizing SCHIP, which would have expanded the program to 10 million children.
Mitt Romney - Said that he would have vetoed the bill, if he was President Bush. Not that anybody can tell the difference between them anymore. He claims that he favors vetoing their insurance because he wants everybody to have health insurance.
Rudy Giuliani - He also wants to veto it.
Mike Huckabee - He says expanding the program is "problematic" for "budgetary" and "philosophical" reasons.

Michael, where they always stand - against progress and social justice. The Repugs once again failed to help override Bush's veto. Disgraceful!

rjsnj,
Did you know that one year interest from Social Security Trust funds accural would have paid for 10 years of healthcare insurance for all the children in USA?
If only George W. Bush hadn't plundered the cash funds and left a bunch of worthless republican IOU's then asked the tax payers to pay for the interest because he gave trillions to his cronies!! How can the worlds wealthest trust fund be called an unfunded mandate (with a smile and a wink from the Republicans and President George W. Bush)!?!?!

Why do you think SCHIP has tremendous support from the American people?

correction: why do you think Americans support EXPANDING the SCHIP program?
Do you really think most Americans want illegal immigrants and adults covered?
