Hotline's Blog asks:
Overlooked: What's The Matter With NC?
NC is the only southern state which holds its GOV elections during presidential election years. This would presumably be a boost for most GOP GOV nominees, yet NC hasn't elected one since '88, while every other southern state has had a GOP governor at some point over the past 6 years.
As it happens, Democrats in NC are rockin' the 50-State Strategy! Way to go North Carolina! Keep up the good work!

You're welcome. hehee! Yes some of us worked hard over here in Asheville for Heath Schuler! He's not perfect but he's light years better than what we had before!
I also understand one of our R Congressmen was one of the 17 who crossed over for the last Iraq vote! Yaaaay! Doug something.
xdebx did LOTS of footwork in her district too although her guy never quite made it. There were some problems with the votes too and they tried to fight it much like they did with Chris Jennings in my OLD Florida district. I wish they could have won out with that one. NC is slowly turning a most beautiful color of blue!
We have a great "drinking liberally" Dem group too in Asheville. Although I don't drink I sometimes join them to rant and rave about the problems in DC.
I'm spending a lot of time blogging for Clark on KOS and other places. He's the only logical choice for 08. Of course he's more worried about IRAN right now then puffing his feathers in some campaign that's started WAYYYYYYy too early!! imo.
